WordPress Blogging? Keeps You From Growing

Now that I have written my first article about WordPress Blogging it is time for the real work! We dive into WordPress. In this article, I will discuss the many possibilities of WordPress.

The title already indicates, is WordPress only for blogging ..? Or can we perhaps do a lot more with it?

The answer is a resounding YES! WordPress offers a lot more than just blogging.

The system is mainly known as a popular blogging platform. However, this has changed in recent years. Whether you want to integrate a webshop, set up a multilingual website, or set up a member area, it is all possible!

WordPress Webshop

For Website delivery, I built a number of webshops in combination with WordPress in the past year. Here are a few examples: www.kidz5aday.nl and www.minisoccerbal.com.

Very well and good, but how do you create such a beautiful webshop in combination with WordPress?

The answer is the Shopp module. For an amount of $ 55, you can already set up a webshop, with a favorable rate of about 40 euros! A bargain indeed.

I will not go into Shopp too deeply in this article, I will save this for an article that I will publish soon. Stay tuned if you want to learn more about Shopp. Follow WordPress tips on Twitter and Facebook and stay informed automatically about WordPress Blogging!

Your Own Design

WordPress already offers a nice template of its own. At the time of writing, the Twenty Twelve theme is the default WordPress template. As I said, a great template, but zero distinctiveness. After all, there are plenty of bloggers who like this template.

But not you. You want to stand out from the crowd, create your own identity, an identity that your target audience can associate with, not a standard WordPress template. You want a really cool template that rocks!

Then don’t be a problem at all! The choice is huge. They are available in all shapes and sizes. From basic to complex, paid or free. I will be writing an article on some recommended templates in the future to help you out a bit.

When you have downloaded/purchased your dream template, it is time to install it and adjust it if necessary! With a little knowledge of HTML / CSS, you can easily adjust the template files and fine-tune your website on the points that you are not satisfied with yet.

Once writing, it bubbles with inspiration about new articles to be written. But this aside.;-)

The conclusion is that WordPress is not just a simple WordPress blogging platform. WordPress is an extensive open-source CMS that you can use in many ways. Due to the enormous community and overload of plug-ins, there is a solution for every wish. You just need to know where to look.
